Class #1 Postural Analysis & Kinesiology.
This class will prepare the student for evaluation of the body and it’s muscles. Understanding how the body functions, where it’s weaknesses and strengths are, is critical for the specific therapy needed to improve performance and promote health and balance. One weekend; open to massage therapists, athletes or trainers. Important to have in depth knowledge of anatomy and Kinesiology . Class moves fast, dress in running gear, bring table and notebook.
Class #2 Intermediate Structural Massage.
This class will contain over thirty years of experience in working with, pain, athletes and injury. The focus will be on how to assist the body in healing itself through massage techniques. This class is for learning an all around therapeutic massage that will make a difference. The classes will be fast and very intensive. One weekend; requires in depth knowledge of anatomy and Kinesiology or prior class with Molina. Bring massage table, towel and accessories.
Class #3 Deep Tissue and Sports Massage.
This class will differ from most classes in the way that we approach the body. The deep tissue (DTF) will be geared for old injuries, scar tissue and deep seated structural imbalances. The use of body positioning and stretches will be incorporated for some of the major problem areas. More detail on stretches and corrective exercises will be given in class # 5. The Sports Massage is very similar to what Rich Faye and Ms. Hungerford have taught in the Islands. With some specific movements and innovative techniques for improving athletic performance developed by Molina. One weekend intensive requires in depth knowledge of anatomy or prior class with Molina. Bring massage table and accessories.
Class #4 Structural Integration Release.
This advanced class will take certain positional release techniques, soft tissue manipulations, Orthobionomy, designed for assisting the body in release of tension and pain. Including a combination acupressure and trigger point techniques designed for acute conditions. This class will run Friday night Saturday and Sunday and is the best for clinical work. Requires in depth knowledge of anatomy and or prior class with Molina. Bring massage table, pillow, towels and accessories.
Class #5 Therapeutic and Corrective Exercises.
This class requires extensive knowledge of clinical massage, Kinesiology and Anatomy. The exercises given are the second part to doing corrective structural massage. You cannot help people if they do not participate in their own health program. The body cannot be changed through massage alone. It needs the proper exercises to correct it’s posture and habits from within. Without the patient doing corrective exercises the results are minimal. This will be a weekend course, requires Massage License or previous classes. Bring massage table, pillow, towels etc.
Class #6 Total Training for Athletic Competition.
This class can be for therapists and trainers as well. This class requires some knowledge of Kinesiology and Anatomy. The weekend will be geared to increasing results in your training program. Fine tuning as far as exercise, training methods, with focus on improvement in strength and endurance. We will also do a running, swimming and bicycling analysis for posture, mechanics and technique. All participants will have the benefit of a personalized handout that will include specific exercises and information designed for each participant. Running gear, water and towel.
